Multi-Magnetic-Circuit System
AT series multi-magnetic-circuit system is a low-voltage high-current test power supply system designed for power transformer temperature rise tests and characteristic tests. It consists of a multi-magnetic-circuit transformer, voltage regulator, LV switching unit, measuring/protection system and control cabinet. It provides stable high-current output without directly short-circuiting the grid, meeting the long-term low-voltage high-current requirements of transformer temperature rise tests (short-circuit method).
Application
AT series multi-magnetic-circuit system is the core power supply equipment for transformer manufacturers and power test stations to conduct temperature rise and characteristic tests. Through the special structure of a multi-magnetic-circuit transformer, it converts grid voltage to a low voltage suitable for the short-circuit test of the DUT, while outputting high current to simulate the heating state of the transformer under rated load. Main applications include:
Power transformer temperature rise test power supply (short-circuit method)
Transformer load loss measurement
Transformer short-circuit impedance measurement
Transformer characteristic tests
Temperature rise verification of dry-type and oil-immersed transformers
Temperature rise tests for high-current busways and reactors
Long-term high-current power supply for transformer factory test stations
Structural Features
Multi-magnetic-circuit transformer body: Multiple iron-core magnetic circuits in parallel, providing high current at LV side while reducing short-circuit impact on primary grid
Low-voltage high-current design: Secondary voltage down to tens of volts, current up to thousands or tens of thousands of amperes
Multi-stage voltage regulation: Electric voltage regulator or multi-tap on-load tap changer for continuous or stepped output adjustment
LV switching unit: High-current contactors or circuit breakers for safe switching of test circuits
Forced cooling: Forced air or water cooling for transformer and LV busbars to meet long-term high-current operation
Measurement and protection system: Integrated voltage, current, power, temperature measurement and over-current, over-temperature, phase-loss protection
Control cabinet integration: PLC or relay control, automatic voltage regulation, constant current control, test timing and data recording
Safety protection: Grounding, interlock and warning signs to ensure operator safety
Selection Guide
Distribution transformer temperature rise test (≤ 2500kVA): Choose secondary current 1kA-5kA, capacity 500kVA-2MVA
Medium/large power transformer temperature rise test (≤ 100MVA): Choose secondary current 10kA-30kA, capacity 5MVA-20MVA
Long-term temperature rise test: Choose forced air or water cooling for 8-12 hours continuous operation
Multi-product test station: Choose wide-range voltage regulation (5V-500V secondary) to cover different transformer capacities
Automated test lab: Choose PLC control + automatic constant current + data recording
Combined with short-circuit test transformer: Multi-magnetic-circuit system for long-term temperature rise power supply, short-circuit test transformer for short-circuit withstand tests
