Gansu Electric Appliance Science Research Institute
The National Low- and High-voltage Electrical Appliance Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (Tianshui Great Wall Electrical Appliance Test and Research Institute, Gansu Electric Appliance Science Research Institute) was approved for establishment by AQSIQ and CNCA, completed in December 2009, passed CNCA acceptance, obtained authorization, and commenced official operation.
To further enhance comprehensive testing capability and build the largest low- and high-voltage electrical testing laboratory in northern China, Phase II was launched with a total investment of RMB 150 million. Upon completion, maximum low-voltage test capability will increase from 420 V / 150 kA to 420 V / 400 kA, ranking first nationally. Maximum high-voltage short-circuit breaking direct test capability will reach 252 kV / 63 kA, placing comprehensive low- and high-voltage testing capability among the top three nationally.
Business operations leverage an electrical technology science research institute with more than 50 years of history, maintaining cooperation with CQC, PCCC, China Electric Power Research Institute, Shenyang High-voltage Apparatus Research Institute, Suzhou Electrical Apparatus Science Academy, Tianjin Transmission Research Institute, Shandong Provincial Quality Inspection Institute, Gansu Electric Power Research Institute, Zhejiang Fangyuan, and other authoritative bodies. Services cover certification and testing of low- and high-voltage electrical appliances and power transformers; intelligent electrical appliances including relay protection and smart control modules; new energy electrical appliances including PV, wind, and EV charging equipment; and emerging industries such as power quality equipment and rail transit DC electrical appliances — providing comprehensive full-chain testing and certification consulting for power transmission and distribution equipment and control devices.
